Truck hits 2 vehicles, 2 parking meters, building

A Charlottetown man faces several charges after the brakes failed on his truck as he was trying to park in downtown Charlottetown Tuesday afternoon.
The 44-year-old man was trying to park at the corner of Kent Street and University Avenue.
"He ended up hitting two parking meters, two parked vehicles, and running into the corner of Dooley's pool hall on Kent street before the vehicle came to a stop," said deputy police chief Gary McGuigan.
"Fortunately there was just property damage."
The man was charged with operating a vehicle without registration, operating an uninspected vehicle, operating a vehicle displaying invalid license plates and operating a vehicle with no insurance.
