On Sunday night relatives and friends of Michelle Bouey from P.E.I. will be glued to their televisions as she competes to be the next Dorothy.
Bouey is one of nine singers in CBC's reality talent show Over the Rainbow. Each contestant hopes to land the lead role in the Canadian production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Wizard of Oz.
Stephen Bouey, Michelle's dad, is in Toronto and will be part of the studio audience.
"I'm meeting a friend of Michelle's that she went to college with and he's got a sign and I think he's got one for me too, so we may have signs to be waving," said Bouey.
"I'm going to be super pumped. I'll feel really emotional, I know that. Michelle knows what she needs to do and she's ready to go do it."
The live performance section of the show airs Sunday at 8 p.m.
On Monday, the program will announce which singers make it to the next round.
