Police pull woman from water 500m from shore

RCMP pulled a woman from the water in Stratford Friday afternoon.
The woman was about 500 metres off the coast of the shooting range at Alexandra Point. The incident happened around 1:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to the hospital and was listed as being in stable condition.
A kayaker and an RCMP boat were involved in getting the woman to safety.
Police have not released the woman's name. There is no word on what the woman was doing in the water.
