The province has signed an agreement with a business to supply turbines for the Hermanville and Clearspring $60-million wind farm.
ACCIONA Windpower, an international company based in Spain, will operate 10 turbines generating a total of 30 megawatts of power.
The proposed development has met with mixed reaction.
Some landowners have said they don't want it.
The community and certain landowners will receive $4.875 million over 15 years, according to the province.
An environmental assessment will be done on the land.
The wind development project is expected to be finished by the end of 2013.
