The Snowbirds have landed on P.E.I. (Federico Cahis/CBC)The skies over Charlottetown will be busy today as the Snowbirds and CF-18 Hornets both arrive for the Atlantic Canada International Air Show this weekend in Summerside.
The show will feature both Canadian and American military and private aircraft, including vintage planes.
These jets are using the Charlottetown airport because its runway is a little longer than the Summerside airport at Slemon Park.
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds aerobatics team arrived around noon Thursday and the Hornets arrive Thursday evening.
Both groups have permission from the city to fly low on their arrival and departure so people can witness the speed and flying abilities of the pilots.
