A high profile Green Party candidate on P.E.I. is considering a run at the provincial leadership.

Sharon Labchuk announced Thursday she was stepping down as leader after a seven-year run. Bevan-Baker told CBC News he's looking at the leadership, but hasn't made a decision yet.
"It's a huge commitment and I'm not into doing things half heartedly," he said.
"I'm busy on many fronts and for me to do this properly I'd really have to take stock of where I am. But it is certainly something that I'm interested in and thinking about. But at this point I can't say for sure whether I'll put my name forward."
Bevan-Baker said an interim leader has come forward and has been approved, and an official announcement of that person is expected in the next few days. That person will not be running for the permanent position.
Bevan-Baker expects a leadership convention will be held before the end of the year.
