A hockey arena in Evangeline, P.E.I. is hosting a wrestling match Tuesday night to keep business open during the off-season.
The Evangeline Recreation Centre will be the home of a reunion between wrestlers Bret "The Hitman" Hart and New Brunswick's Leo Burke.
The community lost its hockey rink in a fire two years ago, but manager Cedric Gallant said he hopes events like this one will keep the new place busy year-round.
"We have to have some events in here. We have to keep the building going," he said.
"I think it's a great thing that the community banded together and rebuilt sort of a broken dream," said Hart.
"I think it's great that wrestling is going to be here tonight and it's going to be a great show, and some great legends. And I'm happy to be here with Leo Burke one of the greatest wrestlers that ever lived."
Hart said New Brunswick's Burke had an impact on him as a young wrestler.
The event is a homecoming for Burke.
"It doesn't matter whether I'm in Nova Scotia, P.E.I., New Brunswick, as long as I'm in the Maritimes, I feel right at home. And it's always great to see familiar faces," he said.
Burke said he's been "good friends" with Hart for close to 30 years.
Gallant said he hopes to host more high-profile events in the new arena.
