A P.E.I. man accused of making a threatening phone call to the House of Commons was denied bail Friday.

John Alexander MacIsaac, 44 of Covehead, is charged with uttering threats and breach of probation.

He was arrested after somebody phoned the House of Commons in Ottawa Thursday and made threatening comments. Police traced the call to MacIsaac's phone.

Extra security was called in for his bail hearing. MacIsaac will remain in jail until he returns to court Tuesday.
