No foul play suspected in cruise ship death

The Maasdam on the wharf in Charlottetown Tuesday. CBCRCMP do not suspect foul play in the death of an elderly man who went missing from a cruise ship in the Northumberland Strait on the way to Charlottetown this week.
Police confirmed Wednesday William Cureton, 75, of Port Dover, Ont., is the man who was found in the strait by a fisherman Tuesday, and brought to Abram-Village, west of Summerside. He was reported missing by his wife Tuesday morning.
"We are just trying to determine what the state of the gentleman was before he died," said Sgt. Dave Thibeau.
"There were members of the family on the boat, but members of the family did travel to Prince Edward Island in the last day. And the body has been released to the family."
Cureton and his wife were on the Holland America ship Maasdam, on a cruise that originated in Montreal.
RCMP investigated on the ship and an autopsy has been conducted. They found no reason to suspect foul play.
