A Charlottetown man missing for two weeks has been located by police in Quebec.

Fifty-one-year old John Keith Glover was last seen by his family Sep. 27. They had expected to hear from him a few days later, but didn't.

Charlottetown Police had issued an "assist to locate," and Sgt. Tom Clow told CBC News Monday police in Quebec found him because of his unusual appearance.

"Mr. Glover is a very large man, he's six-five, 250 pounds with a red beard. They picked up on his appearance and description.

"[They] checked him out and he was very lucid and healthy, and of sound mind, and was just enjoying a road trip. He left by bus is what his statement is. The family will be very relieved and happy. They were quite concerned and it was an unusual event, and makes their thanksgiving that much more thankful."

Glover told Quebec police he plans to stay in the Gatineau area for a few weeks to continue his road trip.
