Brian Langille of The Langille Show plans to highlight his viewership's scope during the 300th episode. (YouTube)An internet show filmed on P.E.I. is celebrating its 300th episode by seeing just how far-flung its audience is.
The Langille Show, a YouTube series created by Brian Langille that typically garners between 100 and 400 viewers depending on the episode, started a couple of years ago when Langille had a consumer beef about Bell ExpressVu.
"So I figured the best way to go about it would be to vent to the internet," he said.
The Langille Show was born.
Now Langille, 35, records the show two or three times a week and claims an international audience, with viewers in Canada, the U.S., Peru, Finland, France, and Israel.
"It's almost like a worldwide show based out of Charlottetown," he said.
Donning a hockey jersey and screwing his cap on backwards, he talks about his life and starts every broadcast with a signature, high-pitched, "Heeeey."
"One of my highest-viewed episodes ever is the two-part story where I wrecked my dad's lawn tractors when I was a kid," he said. "I received over 3,000 views."
To highlight the scope of the viewership, he's asking fans to email thelangilleshow@gmail.com with a video message saying what their name is and where they're from.
For the 300th episode Tuesday, he'll play viewer clips and highlight a map to show how much of the world is watching.
