Charlottetown Police arrested two people on the weekend in connection with graffiti that has appeared around the city.
On Saturday, police executed a search warrant at a city home and arrested a 20-year-old man.
He's facing several charges of damage to property.
In what police said is an unrelated arrest, they arrested a 17-year-old boy later that night.
Police said he was caught in the act of spray-painting a garbage bin near Holy Redeemer Church.
No names have been released but Coun. Rob Lantz, chair of Charlottetown's police services committee, announced on Twitter Monday that one of the two was Nova MacWriterson.
Nova is the alias of a graffiti artist who had been corresponding with Lantz via anonymous email about setting up a legal space for graffiti in the city.
Nova also appeared last week on CBC's Compass to advocate for a legal space for graffiti.
