Warrant issued in Summerside sex assault

A warrant has been issued for Sean Travis Pineau, who is believed to have left P.E.I. (Summerside Police Service)Police in Summerside, P.E.I., have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a local man, wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at knifepoint.
Police said 25-year-old Sean Travis Pineau is suspected of assaulting the woman Sunday morning in Summerside. The two know each other. The woman received minor injuries as a result of the assault, and was seen by a doctor and later released.
Pineau is believed to be driving a silver Pontiac Sunfire with P.E.I. licence plate NT818. They suspect Pineau has left the province and have alerted police across North America.
Anyone with information on Pineau's whereabouts is asked to contact Summerside police, Crime Stoppers, or any police agency.
