The number of cases of breaking and entering in Summerside continues to climb with six more in the last two days, say local police.
Bella's Aesthetics, Lou's Discount Centre, Prestige Kitchens, Gentleman Jims, the Vet Hospital and BJ's Fabricare were the latest targets.
"There are different groups out there. We know there are at least three groups on the go," said Deputy Chief Dave Griffin.
"We definitely believe it's drug [related], whether it be alcohol, or gambling or prescription drugs; it's all fuelling it. We're pretty sure of that."
Griffin said police are aggressively investigating all the cases.
