Tuesday will make five days in a row with temperatures not hitting double digits. The average temperature for the month is below normal, and there is a distinct lack of warm days. Only twice in May has the temperature broken 20 C, as compared to a normal average of five plus 20 C days.

This May compares particularly poorly to last May, when the temperature climbed over 20 C on eight days.

The CBC's Kate McKenna found the miserable May is creating issues for golfers, garden centres, and child care centres.
