P.E.I.'s English Language School Board has completed its review into a security breach last week of a computer program that tracks student marks, assignments and attendance.
The Students Achieve website is meant to be a place where students and parents can keep track of progress at school. Last week the board discovered the web site had been altered from outside the school using teacher accounts.
The investigation found six students from Three Oaks Senior High School in Summerside were involved. The students went into the computer system and changed some attendance records.
The problem was discovered by an administrator at the school. The students will face disciplinary action at the school level.
School Board Superintendent Cynthia Fleet said the board has determined that no marks were changed and Three Oaks is believed to be the only school affected.
Fleet said the board is still trying to determine how the students got the access code.
