The province hopes its latest roundabout will be finished this summer.

Transportation Minister Robert Vessey told the House today the traffic circle at the northern intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Upton Road in Charlottetown will be a single lane.

He hopes to see it finished before Old Home Week in mid-August.

Vessey says that should ease traffic backups there, which can be half a kilometre long at rush hour, now.
