RCMP search for driver after Montague hit-and-run
Kings District RCMP are searching for the driver of a four-door car they say ran a stop sign in Montague and hit another vehicle, before taking off from the scene.
Police are looking for the public’s help to find the driver and the car. They say the car is dark-coloured and looks like a Honda Civic.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Maple Street at the intersection of the Queens Road Extension. Police say the car ran the stop sign then struck an Acura RSX.
There were two women in the Acura. They weren’t injured but their vehicle was damaged and had to be towed away.
Police said the vehicle that caused the accident should have damage on the passenger side, beginning at the front corner and continuing toward the rear.
Police said they believe there was more than one person in the car.
