Prince Edward Island is getting a professional basketball team, but it is still not clear where the team will play.
The official announcement was made by the National Basketball League of Canada Tuesday.
Team owners Duncan Shaw and Darren MacKay have been negotiating to split the games between the Charlottetown Civic Centre and Credit Union Place in Summerside. In an e-mail to CBC News Tuesday, Shaw said more details will be announced later this week.
"It should be a big week," said Shaw.
P.E.I.'s is the fifth team to join the new league. The other teams confirmed are Halifax, Saint John, Quebec City, and Oshawa.
