Prince Edward Island is about to get a Princess. Canadian company Princess Auto is opening its first location on the Island at the end of the month.

The Winnipeg-based retailer sells auto parts, hardware and seasonal outdoor supplies.

The Charlottetown location will be 1,858 square metres and is just off Malpeque Road at 15 Saint Dunstan St.

The company has hired 75 people for the store which has a grand opening at 7:00 a.m. May 31, it said in a release.

P.E.I., and Charlottetown in particular, has a very active customer base with many clients traveling to Moncton, N.B. to shop the Princess location there, the company added.
