The electricity in the area around Charlottetown and all eastern parts of the province has been restored.
The power was out for a little more than an hour in the middle of Monday afternoon. The cause of the outage is still unknown.
About 28,000 customers, in Charlottetown and Cornwall and all areas east of the capital, were without power.
Charlottetown had been experiencing brownouts throughout the morning. The utility discovered tree branches were rubbing against power lines.
