The owner of a storage facility in Charlottetown is looking for more information about thousands of records he found inside one his storage lockers.

Jason Pitre posted photos of the locker on Facebook, appealing for information about their owner.

He estimates there are between 5,000 and 7,000 LPs in the collection.

Pitre called the situation a "total mystery" and said there's no record of who occupied the locker.

"After spending considerable effort to figure out who the occupant was, we were unsuccessful," he wrote.

"I assume I've made some administrative error internally, I can't imagine someone purposefully abandoning such a large LP collection."

Pitre wrote he needs to clear out the locker, but would like to avoid selling the collection.

He asks anyone with information about the records to contact him.
