Culprits turned up the temperature on a refrigeration unit at local grocery store
Police in Charlottetown are investigating after about $60,000 worth of refrigerated product was ruined at a local grocery store.
Police said the culprits turned the temperature control of a refrigeration unit up to nearly 30 degrees Celsius Thursday night.
The incident was reported to police Friday morning at an Atlantic Superstore located at 680 University Ave. As a result, about $60,000 worth of frozen bakery, seafood, grocery and meat product spoiled.
Charlottetown police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
