A tourism group on eastern P.E.I. has recruited two popular Island musicians to promote culinary tourism adventures in the region.

Mike Carver of The North Lakes and John MacPhee of Paper Lions go on a road-trip that includes clam digging, vodka tasting and candy making.

"It's just a fun way to see what you can do in a day in our region, this was another unique way to market," said Patsy Gotell, executive director of Island East Tourism.

"Even if you're driving along in your car, you can get this trip available to you right there on your phone."

The video cost about $2,000 to make, split between Island East Tourism and the P.E.I. Culinary Alliance, which is sponsored by the province.

The video, posted in November, had just over 700 views on Monday morning.
