Liberal P.E.I. MP Wayne Easter has been blocked from tabling a report he commissioned on the impact of changes to Employment Insurance.
The Malpeque MP tried to have the report included for debate in the House of Commons Monday.
But the Conservative government used its majority to stop Easter.
The report, prepared by the non-partisan Parliamentary Information and Research Service, showed six hypothetical examples of how people would be negatively affected by the EI changes.
Easter said he took the examples from calls he received at his office after the changes were announced.
In every case, the worker lost money under the new rules.
Easter said he will try to have the report tabled during debate on Tuesday.
