NDP leader plans to run in Charlottetown next election

The leader of the provincial NDP announced Wednesday evening that he will be running in Charlottetown in the next election.

Mike Redmond lives in Stratford, but says he will return to capital

The leader of the provincial NDP announced Wednesday evening that he will be running in Charlottetown in the next election.

Mike Redmond lives in Stratford, but told around 100 people attending the NDP's summer barbecue that he has strong roots in the capital.

Redmond said he eventually plans to move back to the district of Charlottetown-Victoria Park.

The district is currently held by Liberal Richard Brown, former provincial environment minister and former Charlottetown city councillor.

The next election will take place Oct. 5, 2015.
