Murray River stabbing accused bail hearing delayed
A woman accused of stabbing a man in Murray River will be held in jail at least until Friday.
Christine Louise Prozeniuk, 51, is accused of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, after an incident Friday evening at a residence in Murray River.
RCMP say Prozeniuk stabbed a 33-year-old man, and that the two knew each other.
The man was treated and released from hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, say police. Prozeniuk was arrested the next day at Moncton airport.
At Tuesday's bail hearing, Prozeniuk consented to remain in custody while her defence lawyer reviews the case. Her bail hearing will resume Friday.
