Charlottetown police are looking for a man in connection with an assault that left a 19-year-old man unconscious in front of a Charlottetown bar.

Police say the incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday. They say the victim was assaulted and knocked to the ground unconscious in front of Jack Cameron's Bar on Prince Street.

The man alleged to have hit him ran away, heading in the direction of Kent Street. He was gone when police arrived.

The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
