One man is dead after a house fire in Crapaud, P.E.I. Sunday night.

Emergency crews were called just after 7:30. The body of 63-year-old Kent Ferguson was found by firefighters in an upstairs bedroom.

Ferguson had no immediate family on the Island. His family is from Nova Scotia, but he grew up on P.E.I. Neighbours said he worked in the potato industry and was a collector of classic cars.

An autopsy conducted Monday showed he died from smoke inhalation.
