A 28-year-old man from Brockton, P.E.I. has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in July of 2010 in Kildare.

Landon Ramsay has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one count of impaired driving causing death.

RCMP believe Ramsey was driving a car on July 31 that left the road on Route 12 in Kildare and rolled over.   Both of the occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

James Getson of Kildare Capes died later at the Prince County Hospital.

Ramsay was airlifted to hospital in Halifax, but was released.

It wasn't a simple investigation, said Cpl. Dominique Cloutier of the West Prince RCMP.

"It was an investigation in which we had no witnesses, so we had to really rely on forensic evidence mostly and the reconstruction analyst, which basically takes time," said Cloutier.

"We had to take some exhibits that we seized from the crash site, forward it to the lab and get some results prior to basically keep going with the investigation.

Ramsay will appear in Summerside court in on March 29.
