Wednesday's job fair in O'Leary is from 2 - 6 p.m. at the Rodd Mill River Resort.

Islanders looking for work are getting some extra help in the next few days, thanks to a series of job fairs.

The first was held in Montague Tuesday, and another happens Wednesday in O'Leary at the Rodd Mill River Resort, from 2 - 6 p.m.

They're hosted by Skills PEI and the Department of Workforce and Advanced Learning.

"We'd like to see people get jobs, that's what we're about," said Blair Aitken, service delivery manager for Skills PEI in Kings and Queens counties. "Skills PEI wants to facilitate that opportunity between employers and people looking for employment to come together and to find a match."

Aitken says people can also learn about further job training, including post-secondary opportunities.

Other job fairs will be held in Charlottetown on Monday, Feb. 29 at the Eastlink Centre, and in Summerside on Tuesday, March 1 at the Credit Union Place.
