There was a long line waiting to get into The Guild in Charlottetown Friday morning for free tickets to Celebration Zone concerts.

The Celebration Zone, in Charlottetown's Confederation Landing Park, features weekly free concerts as part of PEI 2014 celebrations, marking the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown conference.

While the concerts are free, tickets are still required. In addition to the long line at The Guild the PEI 2014 website was busy. Tickets became available at noon Friday, and were gone by 1:30 p.m.

Performers include Burton Cummings, Selena Ryder, Matt Andersen and the Sheepdogs. The first concert, featuring Natalie MacMaster and The Barra MacNeils, is July 4.

Limited access to the concerts will also be granted at the gates on a first-come, first-served basis.
