Man suffers minor injuries after chain-reaction on Hillsborough Bridge

RCMP in Stratford P.E.I. say one man was injured in a weather-related crash involving six vehicles on the Hillsborough Bridge Friday.

Around 1 p.m. a vehicle was merging onto the bridge from Route 21 when it collided with another vehicle heading in the same direction.

The two drivers got out to exchange insurance information when a third vehicle slid into their vehicles slightly injuring one of the drivers.

Then another car slid into the collision, a fifth vehicle stopped to help and was struck by the sixth vehicle.

Police are asking drivers involved in crashes during whiteout conditions to remain in their vehicle, call 911 and wait for emergency crews.
