Gun found under crib mattress during Ten Mile House raid

P.E.I. RCMP have arrested two people from Ten Mile House after they found drugs and cocaine in their home.

P.E.I. RCMP have arrested two people from Ten Mile House after they found cocaine and a gun in a home.

Using a warrant, police searched the house and seized close to 0.05 kilograms of cocaine, about two ounces, cash and drug scales.

They also found a .22-calibre rifle and ammunition underneath a crib mattress.

Police charged Valerie Anne Burke, 28, and Vance William Atkinson, 24, with possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm and a breach of firearms prohibition.

They'll be kept in jail until their court appearance on Friday.
