Gas prices on P.E.I. were up again on the weekend, making for a total increase in price of 16 per cent so far this year.

The beginning of the month price adjustment from the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission set the pump price for self-serve regular gasoline at $1.385 a litre, up from $1.355 in mid-February. On Jan. 1 it was $1.199.

Furnace oil prices were also up two cents per litre, and diesel 2.5 cents.

Propane prices moved around depending on the seller, evening out some of the price disparity that was seen in mid-February. Superior Propane put its price up 7.3 cents a litre to $1.185. Irving dropped its price 2.5 cents to $1.155, and Kenmac prices went down 7.5 cents to $1.154 per litre.
