The federal government is reassuring Montague residents that the future of Montague's post office is secure.
Public Works and Government Services Canada announced this week it's selling the building that houses the post office. That has many people in town worried about their postal service.
But Public Works officials say they expect the post office will remain as a tenant even after the building is sold.
Canada Post says it has no plans to downsize, move or close the post office.
Montague is the largest community on eastern P.E.I.
