Six of the nine positions have already been acclaimed. And one is government appointed, because not enough candidates came forward in the Evangeline area.

The vote Monday will elect two trustees, one for the Summerside area and one for the North Shore.

Education Minister Alan McIsaac said he had hoped for more candidates, but he is pleased with the quality of candidates who did offer.

Polls open at noon and close at 8 p.m.  More information on voting is available on the Elections PEI website.
