A P.E.I. fisherman who went missing Friday and was found in the water early Saturday died by drowning, his autopsy shows.

The RCMP were notified when 51-year-old-man Lorne Noye from East Bideford failed to return home Friday night from fishing on the Percival River. He was fishing quahogs.

Searchers found Noye's body not far from his anchored fishing boat. (RCMP)
