Charlottetown Police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station on St. Peter's Road Wednesday night.

A man wearing a hoodie and a ski mask and carrying a crowbar entered the Ultramar station just before 9:30 p.m., say police.

The man demanded money, and stuffed an undisclosed amount of cash into a light blue tote bag.

The store security video of the incident is posted on the police website.

The robbery is quite similar to one last month and the two could be linked, said Deputy Police Chief Gary McGuigan.

"We did have another robbery in March in that vicinity. We are looking. There are some similarities to a robbery that occurred at the Buy-Rite. So we are looking at the possibility that this could be the same robber."

Anyone with information is asked to call police or P.E.I. Crime Stoppers.
