Traffic is now moving in both directions on the Confederation Bridge after a motor-vehicle crash closed the bridge midday Monday.

The bridge was completely closed until about 2:45 p.m.  Bridge officials then opened traffic to one lane only.

RCMP said a Nova Scotia driver has been ticketed for driving without due care and attention after he rear-ended a sweeper truck. Both vehicles were headed towards New Brunswick.

Two people were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Many vehicles were stuck waiting during the closure.
