Confederation Bridge reopens after overnight restrictions

With winds gusting over 70 km/h in Charlottetown, traffic restrictions were placed on Confederation Bridge during the early morning hours Monday.

With winds gusting over 70 km/h in Charlottetown, traffic restrictions were placed on Confederation Bridge during the early morning hours Monday.

The restrictions were put in place shortly after midnight, and lifted between 8 and 8:30 a.m.. High sided vehicles, such as tractor trailers and RVs, were not allowed to cross.

The winds are forecast to continue to ease throughout the morning.
