A P.E.I. bus slid off the road and crashed Sunday afternoon.

The Charlottetown-bound coach rolled onto its side off the road near the community of Travellers Rest.

The RCMP said a few passengers were taken to Prince County Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The rest of the passengers were taken to a nearby residence, where they were to remain until transportation to Charlottetown could be arranged.

Police did not say what caused the crash, but a winter storm hit the island Sunday.
