Charlottetown council is set to table its budget Friday.

The budget will focus on 2014 celebrations and the city's water and sewer upgrades project.

"Consider all the challenges that we face in the City of Charlottetown, with aging infrastructure and the fact that we are looking for a new water source and considering our operational requirements, I think this is a very good and balanced budget," said Cecil Villard, chairman of the city's finance committee.

The budget will be presented Friday at noon at City Hall.
