It's being called the biggest fireworks show in Canada, and on Canada Day, the city known as the birthplace of Confederation will be a fitting locale for it. The Charlottetown show will feature 10,000 fireworks and run for 12 minutes.
The crew at Fireworks FX have been hard at work for the past six months preparing the show. Preparations included bringing in a convoy of five tractor-trailers on Friday.
This isn't just another show for Fireworks FX.
"It's an honour. It really is," said Fred Wade. "And not only the largest display, but on the East Coast. That's what makes it so special."
At every show, there is one part Wade can't wait for.
"When the finale goes off, out go the earplugs and we just wait to see if the audience liked it, and when you can hear the roar and the whistles and the boats going off, I mean that's, that's our pay," he said.
The show will kick off at 10 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
For people who'd like to see the show live, anywhere on the Charlottetown waterfront will provide a great view.
