ScreenScape of Charlottetown has become the first business in Atlantic Canada ever to make Deloitte's top ten technology companies-to-watch list.
ScreenScape tailors on-line content for businesses to broadcast on TV monitors in their public spaces. It has clients across North America and Europe.
Duncan Stewart, director of technology research for Deloitte, said the top ten list was created after a review of a basket of factors in hundreds of Canadian companies.
"We look for depth of management team, ethical behaviour, corporate culture, size of the market they're addressing, even the business model," said Stewart.
"We don't want to just reward somebody for high revenue growth. We want to make sure that they're profitable, and growing, and creating jobs and value in their communities."
Given ScreenScape's trajectory, Stewart said the company could end up on Deloitte's Technology Fast Fifty list within the next year or two.
