The owner of a Summerside, P.E.I. gift shop is hoping to find a flag that has special meaning for her.
Kathryn Dewald operates the Celtic Mist store on Water Street, which usually has its own flag flying out front. It was a gift from Dewald's brother, who designed and made it himself while working at a flag manufacturer in Calgary.
Dewald usually takes the flag in when the wind picks up, but it was left outside during Wednesday afternoon's gusty weather. When staff went out to get it, they couldn't find the flag anywhere.
"It got a good wind and went flying," Dewald said. "The whole pole and everything is attached."
She said they've looked around the neighbourhood for the flag, but no luck so far. Dewald is asking anyone who finds it to call the shop at 902-436-9677. Her brother no longer works at the manufacturer, making it tough to replace.
"It means a lot to me that my brother designed the flag," she said. "I don't even know if I could get another one printed."
