The Charlottetown Festival announced its lineup for the 2014 season Thursday, and it will feature the return of a second stage favourite.

Canada Rocks will be the second show on the mainstage, playing alongside Anne of Green Gables: The Musical, which has played every season since the festival opened at Confederation Centre in 1965.

Canada Rocks, a revue of Canadian popular music, was a hit at the festival in 2005 and 2006.

The MacKenzie Theatre will run a new show next year, Abegweit: the songs and stories of Lennie Gallant.

Artistic director Anne Allen also announced next year will be her last at the festival.
