Body found in river identified
P.E.I.'s chief coroner has identified the body of a man found on the shore of North River in Charlottetown on Sunday.
The coroner used dental records to confirm the remains were those of Lennon Brian Michael Waterman. The 29-year-old Charlottetown man was reported missing on Nov. 8 of last year.
Foul play is not suspected.
Last week Waterman's mother, Dianne Young, organized a protest outside Province House in Charlottetown calling for better mental health care services on the Island.
She believes her son committed suicide.
Young has said she does not blame anyone for her son's death, but believes more must be done to help Islanders suffering from mental health problems and addiction.
