The case against three teenagers charged with killing seals in eastern P.E.I. has been adjourned until next week.

The three boys were charged after 50 seals were found dead or dying on a shore near Beach Point. A veterinary pathologist examined 10 of the animals and determined they had been bludgeoned.

A wildlife pathologist determined some of the seals were not killed outright, but left to freeze on the ice. (CBC)

Eighteen-year-old Colton Hal Clements is the only one charged as an adult. The other two accused are younger, aged 15 and 17. All three are from Kings County.

They have been charged with cruelty to animals.
