Blake Shelton headlines Cavendish Beach festival

The Cavendish Beach Music Festival announced Tuesday Blake Shelton will headline the 2014 festival, with a lineup that includes Darius Rucker, Hunter Hayes and Lady Antebellum.

The Cavendish Beach Music Festival announced Tuesday Blake Shelton will headline the 2014 festival, with a lineup that includes Darius Rucker, Hunter Hayes and Lady Antebellum.

Shelton is a host of the TV show The Voice and he is the 2013 Country Music Association male vocalist of the year.

Other artists announced Tuesday were Gord Bamford and Brett Kissel. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Festival president Jeff Squires said the festival has become the concert destination for country music fans nationwide.

The music festival runs from July 4 to 6. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10:00 a.m.
